He's not looking far enough ahead. If he'd kept the space program (which several people I know either work for or used to work for), he could have used nonexistent tax-payer dollars to support illegal extraterrestrial aliens!

Seriously, though, he chose the wrong government program to cut. I know that a lot of the technology we have today is a result of scientists developing items for space travel or while in space. Instead, when they had that government shut-down for the budget, they should've cut Planned Parenthood and Obamacare (among others) I mean, sure, space exploration isn't really the most pressing matter in the world, but funding that is better than funding legalized murder and socialized healthcare.

It was always humanity's dream to reach the moon. Such an enigmatic satellite hovering in our fair orbit. It wasn't until the cold war that we had the space race, Russian victory in aerospace-space, and American victory to the moon. It was considered a giant leap for all mankind. Obama just so happen to not only kill this dream, this leap, this advancement, but also killed the dreams of all the sci-fi fans in the world.
