Recently I got into an argument with a collage student who tried to tell me what I 'should' be doing, based only on what she saw on my facebook page. Like a true leftist, she wouldn't listen to the simple principal that I can live and do things the way I want, and then tried to use both of her degrees as some sort of credential to validate her argument.
Maybe she needs the government to make her decisions for her.
Something to note, she's not actually a natural born U.S. Citizen. In fact, she grew up in the Soviet Union. I guess freedom is a new principal to her.
While technically accurate, I must again split hairs on the grounds that the poll statement assumes a degree of self-awareness which most on the hard left simply do not possess.
In their minds, everyone else is incapable of making good decisions, therefore everyone else should defer to government -- but only if they're in charge of it, since they're so much smarter than the rest of us.
I'd like to point out that once in a coalition with a conservative party, liberals slowly lose their batsmeg insanity. It's like teaching them how to tie their shoe laces correctly. Under, over, round the bend, the debt of the nation is way to high, we have to make the harsh choices now rather then let them get worse. Yes, you may be breaking a promise on university fees, but its unfair they get massive subsidies, here's how we make it sting less, and here's the other parties plans, look how much nastier that one is...
That may just be British ones, considering the Liberal Democrat party was part founded by a former Labour MP who thought his party was too left wing and even Maggie Thatcher wanted in her cabinet.

Strange times, friend.

If we would all just hug each other.
