No, it's an indication that she sees everyone else as having the mentality of second graders. As does her husband and pretty much everyone else in their administration.
Then again, maybe she's just used to chatting with Biden and Robert Gibbs.
And for the record, I work with kids fairly often (Babysitting the Preacher's grandson, helping with Sunday School, looking after friends' youngsters, etc.), and I don't talk down to ANY of them the way Michelle Obama talks to the public. That's like, 1st rule of Public Speaking (Which I passed with an A in college, mind you): "NEVER assume your audience is ignorant."
